Wim Hof Guided Breathing – 1 Hour Sessions

22 sessions

These are the full sittings: forty-five minutes to an hour of continuous practice, combining many rounds, unhurried pacing, long retentions and — in many of them — a closing meditation once the breathing work is done.

An hour-long session is to the daily practice what a day's hike is to the morning walk. You bring an empty stretch of morning, a warm room and no plans for immediately afterwards, and the session repays the space: by the closing meditation the body has been breathing deliberately for the better part of an hour, and the state that produces does not fit into shorter formats.

Practised occasionally — a weekend ritual, a monthly deep clean — these sessions are many practitioners' favourites. As a daily habit they are unnecessary and unsustainable, which is fine, because that was never their job.

The sessions below differ in rounds, pace, voice and what accompanies the close.

Sit or lie down. Never practise in water or while driving.
